How early is too early to teach a kid to code? There are now great programs that introduce kids to the idea of coding. Scratch, a free program put out by the lifelong Kindergarten Group at MIT Media Lab. is one of them. Scratch allows you to program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and then it lets you share your creations with others online.
Scratch says that it,
. . . helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century.
